Martina graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 1990. Initially she worked in hospitals in the UK and Australia, gaining experience in many areas including rehabilitation, post-surgical care, neurology and rheumatology. Since 2005 she has worked exclusively in Private Practice treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. More recently she has done further training in Pelvic Health, with this being the new focus of her career.
Martina loves working with people and particularly enjoys treating neck, lower back, shoulder, hip and pelvic girdle injuries. She likes the ‘detective work’ of getting to the cause of complex problems as well as treating the many interconnected layers; such complex problems usually have. She is excited about working in Pelvic Health because of the importance of this work and the positive impact for clients. This includes assisting clients with conditions such as incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain.
Aside from being a physiotherapist, Martina loves being involved with her local community, exploring new places and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys concerts, galleries and great restaurants.
When not in clinic, you would find Martina hiking and camping in a National Park somewhere, spending time with friends and family, or enjoying some live music and hunting out her next favourite restaurant.
