Exercise Physiologist

Position Overview:
We are looking for an Exercise Physiologist to help us make a difference to the lives of more people.  The successful candidate will be aligned with our values and able to slot into our two clinics to take on an existing client load while generating new leads. They will be able to confidently work autonomously while embracing the in-house mentoring provided to learn from our supportive team. 

You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing of an outstanding administration team. Your client base will range from private patients, WorkCover, CTP and more. You will be providing rehabilitation services to clients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case management across various schemes such as; workers compensation, compulsory third party, CDM and private patients
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical, insurance and allied health professionals
  • Applying your knowledge to assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal conditions
  • Administer exercise therapy to help patients achieve their goals and recover from their injuries
  • Run classes such as falls prevention to help our clients live their lives safer and better than before
  • Document patient progress and communicate with other members of the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best possible care to patients
  • Continuously pursue professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques

Qualifications/Behaviours:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology
  • Valid licence to practice in Australia, including your ESSA
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Fabulous communication skills – there is a lot of getting to know your clients and team
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way, as does empathy
  • It’s the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must
  • A current NSW Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
  • Previous experience working in the rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded, but is not essential
  • An interest in Clinical Pilates and Women’s Health is preferred but not necessary
